All the fun of the fair.....

Part of the Cotswold charm is being part of a community where people recognise each other and stop to pass the time of day some might say old fashioned values but we love old and anything vintage, particularly if its reminiscent of childhood. A traditional circus would figure large in many idyllic childhood lists and in the Cotswolds were particularly lucky that the dream lives on in the shape of Giffords Circus. The 2015 tour Moon Songs kicks off on our home turf in Oxford University Park on 26^th June and thereafter rolls through Kingham, Great Barrington, Frampton on Severn, Minchinhampton, Marlborough Common, Cirencester and rumbles to a close at Fennells Farm near Stroud in September. Great news for Jigsaw guests holidaying in the area this summer, a family experience not to be missed. The essence of the show is creating a bit of magic and this vision is realised through hand made costumes and sets and home trained animals, all managed with passion by the founders Nell & Toti Gifford. This years theme is the fairground world of the Victorian Luna Park. There are gymnasts, clowns, jugglers and horses: illusion, chaos and laughter combine to create a magical, lunatic world which will appeal to young of mind and body. Cerebral hunger satisfied, to complete the treat theres a new addition guaranteed to satiate discerning tastebuds, Circus Sauce travelling restaurant. Theres a weekly changing set 4 course menu and as youd expect the seasonal produce is all locally sourced mouth watering stuff such as freshly baked bread, smoked haddock kedgeree with soft boiled duck eggs and crispy shallots, glazed shoulder of pork and strawberry and elderflower jelly with lashings of cream and shortbread biscuits our kind of yum! So come one, come all, the circus is coming to town!
