Cheltenham Literature Festival Due Back in Town

The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival returns in a celebration of award-winning writers, world-renowned thinkers and international star names with more than 450 events over the ten day Festival from 8th 17th October. One of the oldest and best loved Literature Festivals in the world, the Cheltenham Literature Festival celebrates the joy of books, the thrill of debate, and the unique two-way conversation between writer and reader. This year it welcomes a whole host of literary legends including Sebastian Faulks, Philip Pullman and Adrian Mole author Sue Townsend amongst many others! The opening weekend at The Centaur is sure to attract many with its impressive lineup of stars comedy genius double act Armstrong & Miller, comedian Graham Norton, Peter Mandelson and Hollywood superstar Michael Caine will all light up the Centaur stage. Stars of the small screen including Dawn French, Gok Wan, Kirstie Allsopp, Harry Hill and local resident Dom Joly will also be flocking to the impressive venues this Cotswold town has to offer. In the spirit of encouraging the talents of all ages, dont forget Book It! the festival for younger readers with fun, exciting and surprising events every day of the Festival. Festival favourite Jacqueline Wilson will join Charlie and Lola and Spot the Dog. Budding young thespians can also discover the secrets of the theatre in a series of workshops with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
