Some of the book worlds biggest names will appear at The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival 2014, when the Regency town once again hosts hundreds of events during the famous 10-day literary celebration. Festival highlights include a line-up of writing greats such as Salman Rushdie, Margaret Attwood, Ian McEwan, Will Self, Ben Okri, David Mitchell and Victoria Hislop, alongside a celebration of new talent spanning Emma Healey, Nathan Filer, Caitlin Moran and James Naughtie. Acting royalty, Judi Dench, will be discussing her new book,Behind the Scenes, with the likes of Brian Blessed, Damian Lewis, Helen McCroy and John Cleese also on the bill. Comedy-loving festival-goers can expect nothing but laughs from Katy Brand, Francesca Martinez, Emma Freud, Kevin Bridges, Paul Merton, Omid Djalili and Danny Baker. Theres plenty on offer for sci-fi and fantasy fans, including a celebration of Marvel Comics withFantastic FourandX-Menwriter, Mike Carey, alongside speakers such as Clive Anderson, Terry Jones, Ben Aaronovitch, Joe Abercrombie and Mitch Benn. With foodies getting treated to a fabulous series of events, including talks, lunches and dinners with everyone from Tom Kerridge, Heston Blumenthal and Yotam Ottolenghi to Hardeep Singh Kohli, Rachel Allen and Lorraine Pascale.
