Then what could be better than the three day Evesham Festival which will take place between 25th and 27th August. As in the previous 33 years, this popular angling festival will be held over the Bank Holiday weekend, on the banks of the river at the market town of Evesham. Starting with the Evesham Championship on the Saturday followed on Sunday with the Wychavon Championship and finishing on Monday with Match Fishing Team Championship where 14 teams compete for this prestigious title including UK Ladies, there is prize money worth 20,000. The competition is spread over a mile so the live commentating from top angling journalists as well as former competitors will keep you up to date of what the best anglers from the UK and Europe are doing. The popular Tented Village is the place to go for fishing tackle at bargain price and to see the latest products which are launched by manufacturers at the show. There is also a funfair and side show to keep the kids busy and a Craft Fair where you can grab yourself a bargain; from clothing, to food to paintings - there is something for everyone.
