Westonbirt Arboretum will be hosting its festival of the tree, celebrating trees with four days of live music, camping and family fun from Friday 26th to Monday 29th August. Described as the best of Westonbirts Festival of the Tree with exciting elements including camping and local live music, Treefest is set to be an even more popular event than ever before. Visitors will not only be able to watch wood transformed into intricate artworks by master carvers but also get involved in a series of woodcraft displays, hands-on workshops, stalls and activities. This years event will include local live music with a wide selection of local acoustic and folk singers each evening, a medieval re-enactment, shire horses, puppet shows and falconry displays, not to mention Morris dancing, storytelling, poets and a chance to try longbow and archery. With trails, tree team demonstrations and workshops from some of the countrys best craftspeople as well as crafts, furniture and jewellery stalls on offer there is definitely something for everyone! New for the weekend will also be the rare opportunity to camp within the grounds of the beautiful National Arboretum...a must for all nature lovers!
