Prescott Shooting Have A Go Day

Fun, relaxed and with just enough instruction to ensure a few targets are hit, this have a go day is held on the last Saturday of every month at Prescott Shooting Ground hidden behind the famous Prescott Hillclimb racecourse near Cheltenham. The shooting ground offers a range of targets, from floating incomers to 40-yard crossers (or clays that fly towards you or from side-to-side) which measure in at just 110mm and flying through the air at up to 45mph. After a swift introduction to the sport, some serious safety guidelines, you will be soon donning ear protectors and sunglasses and taking the stance with the shot gun raised and one leg forward. A perfect introduction to one of the fastest growing sports for young people in the UK and making it an experience well worth sharing. Not just for boys! Costs 20 per person and includes 25 clays and cartridges, gun hire and a professional instructor. The next event is held on Saturday 28th May, but are held throughout the year.
