Enjoy a splendid English summers weekend of racing at Prescott Speed Hill Climbs Midsummer Speed Festival. Celebrating the wonders of the motor car whilst devouring strawberries and cream on the lawns, this years Midsummer Festival of Speed is sure to be welcoming visitors from across Gloucestershire and beyond when it gets underway this weekend. Owned by the Bugatti Owners Club, the Prescott Estate was bought in 1937 with the prime objective of promoting the motor spirit and the pastime of motoring. They hold events throughout the year, with the Midsummer Festival of Speed being one of the most popular and welcomes and encourages all motor enthusiasts. Fast action is expected this year from competitors in rounds nine and ten of the Avon / BMTR Top Ten Challenge with regular competitors such as Rob Turnbull, John Chalmers and Oliver Tomlin sure to provide an exciting race. Local interest will be firmly on Terry Davis and his wife Tricia from Cheltenham who will be driving a Reynard with an engine developed by Terry, as well as Richard Jones from Pitchcombe who has found himself in contention for the UK Changes Midland Hill Climb Championship. After being in second place after round four, Richard has had nine meetings contested this season. This two day event is on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June from 9am.
