Rose Week at Sudeley Castle - 8th - 14th June 2009

The award winning Queens Garden will be in full bloom once again during Rose Week at Sudeley Castle between 8th and 14th June 2009. Historically, hundreds of garden lovers have taken this opportunity to visit the castles gardens as well as making the most of the fascinating tours available. Grown by organic methods there are more than 800 modern and old roses to be seen, as well as herbaceous and annual plants creating decadent displays all within the castles diverse and fascinating gardens. As well as the Queens Garden, Sudeley is also home to the intricate Elizabethan style Knot Garden, The Mulberry Garden featuring a grove of Mulberry trees planted in 1865 and the romantically named Secret Garden which has more than 1,000 tulips in pink, lavender and white hidden away behind secret walls.
