Stratford-Upon-Avon Music Festival

The 17th Stratford on Avon Music Festival will be held this year between 13th and 21st October. Lesley Garrett, the international soprano as well as popular Loose Woman will be headlining for the first time this year and will be singing a number of songs as well as taking questions from the audience. The festival will be opened at midday with a specially composed fanfare with the Harvington Bell Ringers plus trumpet, trombone and French horn students from the Birmingham Conservatoire. The Church bells from three Stratford churches will also ring in unison, creating a unique piece a first for the festival. The Festival has a varied programme this year with its theme In Tune with Nature, and includes something for everyone with Jazz, Folk, World music as well as Opera on offer. The lunchtime concerts as well as evening ones will allow the keenest to get to see plenty of talent.
