The line up for the Cheltenham Literature Festival 2009, celebrating its 60th anniversary, has been announced. With names like Jeremy Paxman, David Walliams and Ralph Fiennes there is sure to be something for everyone. During this 10 day event Cheltenham will play host to a number of topical debates, talks, interviews and workshops across a number of different venues in over 440 events. A packed programme including literary legends Sebastian Faulks, Stephen Fry and Tony Parsons; stars of the stage and screen Judi Dench and Alan Davies; sporting heroes Steve Redgrave and Kenny Logan; and hilarious comedians Mitchell and Webb are all coming to the Cotswolds this October. With the 60th anniversary celebrations sure to be in full swing, ten guest directors have been invited, each programming together two or three events each on specific days of the festival, including Monica Ali, Rageh Omaar Sandi Toksvig. And with the Book It! Festival there's something for all young readers too. Imperial Gardens comes to life with visits from Olivia, Elmer the Elephant and Spot the Dog. With talks and workshops from multi-award winning Anne Fine, bestselling author Michael Morpurgo and David Walliams joining the festival to talk exclusively about his debut book for children there is something for the whole family.
