The Blenheim International Horse Trials

Set in the magnificent grounds of Blenheim Palace between 6th to 9th September 2012 - One of the world's premier three-star three-day events will be held, with the Palace as the back drop for all main action, attracting thousands of spectators. The Fidelity Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials which have now been running since 1990 offer a fabulous opportunity to see some of the world's finest riders and their horses compete against one another in a truly spectacular environment. Although it is known as a '3-day event', it runs over four days with its three phases: two days of Dressage, followed by Cross Country and then Show Jumping and is split in to two classes CCI*** for the younger horses and a CIC*** class for the older and more experienced horses. Besides all this action there are also lots of other things to see and do with plenty of equine and other displays throughout the event, a sports and classic car display and more than 175 stands for shopping in the three different pavilions - World of the Horse, Festival of Food and Eden Crafts and not forgetting the children's play area.....So plenty for the whole family to see and do.
