The Times Cheltenham Literary Festival

The Times Cheltenham Literary Festival is back between 5th and 14th October and this year its back with some BIG names - making it very hard just to mention a few but here goes.Roger Moore the popular James Bond and David Suchet the much loved Poirot will be attending to discuss their life in acting. J.K.Rowling will be at the festival discussing her first novel for adults, as will Benedict Cumberbatch who will discuss the popular BBC series Sherlock and his role as Sherlock. To name but a very few more theres also the popular and well known Rupert Everett, Nigella Lawson, Esther Ranzten, Kirstie Allsopp, Salman Rushdie as well as some of the female characters from the popular ITV series Downton Abbey.With all these big names in publishing, politics, television, radio, art, theatre, sports it is definitely going to make difficult choosing where to go but there is definitetly something for everyone.Theres also lots of free activities for the younger members of the family such as face painting, Punch & Judy and giant board games to name but a few. Helen Fielding, the popular author of Bridget Jones Diaries discusses the very awaited 3rd part to this novel, John Bishop and his journey to stardom, Queen Guitarist Brian May talking about the publication of his book Diableries: Stereoscopic Adventures in Hell, husband and wife duo Richard & Judy both discussing their novels and Mary Berry the popular 'Bake-Off' presenter who has got everyone baking again talks about her storyto name just a few of the big names. This is the possibility to meet one of your favourites up close, pose for a photo and even get their autograph in the book (you can't do that with a kindle!) With all these big names in publishing, politics, television, radio, art, theatre, sports it is going to make difficult choosing where to go but there is definitely something for everyone. Theres also lots of free activities for the younger members of they can even meet some of their favourite characters such as Spot, Peter Rabbit, Horrid Henry and Olivia who will all be at the Festival.
