Originally known as the Winchcombe Flower Show, this picturesque Cotswold town is celebrating its 62nd anniversary this year. Kicking off with a London 2012 fancy dress theme procession there is definitely something for everyone: a Savage Skills BMX bike display, Punch & Judy, street entertainers, craft activities, dress The Mummy and entertainment from the Winchcombe Concert Brass band. Not forgetting the Morris dancing, vintage tractor and classic car displays, childrens Go Karts and bouncy castle to name but a few!! Staying true to its roots, there will also be a traditional flower show a treat for all the green-fingered and budding gardeners everywhere. With the classes in the Marquee the centrepiece of the show with sections for arts, crafts, photography, flower arranging, wine, cookery, preserves, vegetables and fruit and flowers - there is without doubt something for everyone, young and old, first timers and experts! Hungry or thirsty? Not to worry, theres always the irresistible homemade cakes in the tea tent to tempt you, a licensed bar, healthy eating refreshments, organic ice-cream and much more. As well as Terrier racing, new this year is a Novelty Dog Show - from prettiest female, most handsome male, best veteran 7 years and over, waggiest tail, most appealing eyes, best trick, doggy fancy dress - so no reason to leave your beloved one at home and with all these classes theres plenty of opportunities to get a winners Rosette! To get the Bank holiday rolling and you prepared for things to come, get your dancing shoes on for Saturdays Family disco or the Adult disco (or both!!) and should you have any energy left then get your trainers on for Sundays Run Winchcombe with a 10k Hill Climb, Sudeley 5K and kids 1k - if not there is always the option to just simply go and cheer those who do.
